Honored

Banquets are silly. Especially when organizations throw them for themselves and give their own people awards. Nevertheless, I am thrilled to be getting out of the office early on a Friday to get such an award and eat dry chicken. Because nothing’s better than being out of work on a Friday.

Sunday was a beautiful day for a beer-soaked picnic. Clear skies, mid-70s, jello shots and bean bag games in the trunk of the car with good friends. It also would have been a good day to realize that a boat neck T-shirt leaves those two inches of flesh on either side of my neck out [...]

Dammit.

Unlucky. Had a lovely day getting cocktails and ice cream and going on a nice long walk. Only to return and realize I had lost the check I endorsed on my way out the door to put in the bank. I called everywhere we stopped, I double-checked around the house. But, it’s a signed check. [...]

Cooking dinner at home every night to save money because I am so broke it’s a joke
